President Bola Tinubu is set to address the nation in a New Year’s Day broadcast on Monday, January 1, 2024, at 7 am.

The news of the broadcast by President Tinubu was disclosed in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

This upcoming broadcast, which will be Tinubu’s fourth as President, emphasizes his commitment to regularly engage with the Nigerian public. The announcement encourages television, radio stations, and electronic media outlets to tune in to the network services of the Nigeria Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.

The tradition of these broadcasts began on Democracy Day, June 12, when President Tinubu delivered his inaugural address. Subsequently, on July 31, he addressed the nation to announce the Federal Government’s interventions following the removal of the petrol subsidy. On October 1, 2023, Tinubu marked the 63rd Independence Day with another nationwide broadcast.

This New Year’s Day message reflects the President’s dedication to keeping the citizens informed about key developments and government initiatives. The strategic timing of these broadcasts aligns with pivotal moments in the nation’s history and underscores the importance of transparent communication between the leadership and the public.

As President Tinubu gears up for the first day of the new year, the nation awaits his insights and directives, setting the tone for the year ahead and reinforcing the ongoing dialogue between the government and its citizens.
