“If You Worry Me, I Will Visit Your Matter” Daniel Bwala Warns Obidients

Controversial lawyer and former Atiku campaign spokesperson, Daniel Bwala, has issued a stern warning to supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, affectionately known as ‘Obidients’.

In the aftermath of Bwala declaring his support for President Bola Tinubu’s government, he faced a barrage of criticism on social media.

Bwala’s political journey has been marked by significant shifts. Initially leaving the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2022 due to a Muslim-Muslim ticket, he joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and became the spokesman for Atiku Abubakar’s campaign. During this period, he made pointed remarks about his former party and its candidate.

However, the political landscape took an unexpected turn when Bwala hinted at a potential return to the APC after a meeting with President Tinubu on January 10, 2024. He expressed readiness to support Tinubu’s administration, suggesting it might involve rejoining the APC and leaving the PDP.

Despite swift backlash on social media from members of the APC, PDP, and Obidients criticizing Bwala for perceived hypocrisy, he remains defiant. Taking to his X account (formerly Twitter), Bwala conveyed a clear message to the Obidients.

His post stated: “Labour Party in red. Dey your Dey, make I Dey my Dey! Nobody worry no body. If Una worry me i go visit Una matter and i go go harder on Pitobi matter like my brother Reno ohh. No body worry no body.”

Bwala’s warning serves as a reminder of the heated dynamics in Nigerian politics and the personal stakes individuals bring to the public discourse. The social media battleground has become a space where political affiliations, loyalty shifts, and criticism are played out in a highly visible and often confrontational manner.
