Media personality Daddy Freeze has stepped up in defense of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie against criticisms following the launch of his online ministry, The Salvation Ministry.

Edochie had recently announced his decision to heed what he claimed as the call of God, sparking strong skepticism from the public.

In response to the criticism, Daddy Freeze stated that Yul Edochie is no less qualified than any Nigerian pastor to establish a ministry, emphasizing the importance of preaching the truth. He took a swipe at other pastors, calling out their alleged misleading doctrines and conjured miracles.

Daddy Freeze urged Nigerians to focus on the questionable actions of certain religious leaders, pointing out failed prophecies and life imprisonment cases involving bishops. His defense aimed to redirect attention from Yul Edochie’s new venture to what he perceives as more significant issues within the religious community.

However, GWG.ng reports that not everyone shares Daddy Freeze’s perspective. Twitter influencer Solomon Buchi questioned Yul Edochie’s qualifications, particularly asking about his spiritual father. Buchi highlighted Edochie’s recent controversies, including allegations of adultery and polygamy, suggesting that such issues make him unfit to preach the gospel.

Noble Igwe also expressed bewilderment over Yul Edochie’s sudden transition from real estate to launching a ministry, stating that something seemed off about the actor’s decision.

In addition to the critiques, former reality TV star Nina Ivy asserted that Yul Edochie had called himself, not God, into the ministry, echoing the sentiments of those who question the authenticity of his divine calling
