Video Of Rescue Of Isreali Hostages From Hamas Stronghold Emerges

A real-time video of the rescue of two Israeli hostages from the grip of their Hamas captors inside Gaza has been released by the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF.

GWG.ng had earlier reported the rescue of the two hostages,  in the wee hours of Sunday in a joint operation conducted by different segments of the Israeli military and other elements of the security services.

The rescue of the two, however, led to collateral damage on the side of the Palestinian civilians and Hamas operatives with reports that as many as 65 Palestinians were killed in the rescue of the two Israeli hostages.

GWG.ng reports that there has been outrage on the part of the Palestinians and some of their Arab supporters over the human cost involved in the rescue of the two Israeli hostages.

Some of the Arab commentators have raised questions as to why Israel would resort to force and not use negotiation to rescue the Israeli hostages.

However, responding to the issues, the IDF spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari speaking on the rescue of the two Israeli hostages from Rafah in Gaza said:  

“This rescue mission underscores the importance of our ground operation in Gaza. We have a moral obligation to bring all our hostages home, an obligation that we will continue doing everything in our power to fulfill.”
