Emma killed by cult group

A campaign against cultism has erupted on social media, following the gruesome killing of Emma Kesh, a final year student of Abia State University, by a rival cult group. As of Tuesday morning, the campaign had emerged as X top trend with over 4000 engagements.

The ABSU student was reportedly killed on Monday morning, just a day before his graduation.

Viral graphic videos captured the deceased Emma Kesh being chased down and shot dead by cultists in a gruesome attack while students watched helplessly from their hostels and streets in panic.

An anonymous eyewitness account revealed on X revealed that Emma was killed in a clash between his cult group and a rival cult group.

“The Fine Boy Chose The Wrong Path That Led To His End! So behind the scene, He (Emma) and 2 Other Aye Men went to gun a Bagger but when they shot them, it didn’t enter (Una Dey Do This For This World Way Innocent Me Dey Move up and Down Like say na me get am).

“Then they tried to run, the Baggers replied to them, ‘Shoot them back’. It still did not enter the other two but Emma AKA kesh. The groundnut Entered, others fled but because Emma was already hit and cut. He was struggling to run when they got close and gave him a head shot; at close range! 

“That was how a fine young boy died leaving the family in severe pain. No wonder everything happened in broad daylight, in an open space, and from people identified to be in the same ABSU who didn’t go,” he said.

Reports from the community also claim that Emma was barely two months in the cult group before his life was cut short.
