Nollywood actress Susan Pwajok shared a harrowing account of her family’s encounter with Boko Haram militants, who set their home ablaze while they were inside. Susan recounted the terrifying experience during an episode of her podcast, “Surviving Lagos,” where she was joined by her mother, Carol Pwajok.

The attack left their residence in ruins, along with her grandfather’s vehicles and all their belongings. Susan vividly described how the militants struck while she was away in Jos with her cousins, while her mother was in Lagos. Her family, including her grandparents and cousins, had to seek refuge in the garden, helplessly watching as their home was engulfed in flames.

The loss was not just material but deeply emotional, as cherished memories and possessions were reduced to ashes. Among the items destroyed were her grandfather’s Hilux and Benz, representing a significant blow to the family.

The aftermath of the attack forced them to rebuild their lives from scratch, grappling with the trauma of the event and the daunting task of starting over. Despite the devastation, Susan and her family are resilient, determined to overcome the adversity they faced.
