Obi Embarks On New Charm Offensive To Northern Muslim Communities (Video)

Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 General Election, Peter Obi has continued to galvanise support for a possible 2027 rerun with an aggressive charming campaign across the critical Muslim community in Northern Nigeria.

In the latest of such salvos to the Muslim community in Northern Nigeria, Peter Obi has been reported breaking the Ramadan fast with communities in Niger and Nasarawa States, adjoining his Abuja base.

A video of a recent outing showed Obi getting the enthusiastic approval of a Muslim community in Suleja after he reportedly made provisions for a borehole which has now come into production.

For many of the Muslims, Obi’s gesture was enough for them to reappraise the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC which they reported as a scam.

One of the excited Muslim community members who spoke after Peter Obi broke the fast with them said:

“I’m very happy about it, he is the first president (presidential contenders) that came here and did something for us, first contestant of president, we, we like him o, we like him o, by next time, na Peter Obi.”

Other members of the Muslim community voiced their support for Peter Obi, chanting “Peter Obi” enthusiastically. As Peter Obi and his security guards exited the mosque he visited in Suleja, the gathering crowd showered praises on Peter Obi.

Asked what he had done one man in the crowd replied, “E do beta tin, e do borehole for us.” When asked if they were happy, the response was: “we dey happy.” They affirmed their intention to vote for Peter Obi, declaring, “We will vote for him one time! We are so excited.”

A youth approached the camera, declaring, “This is my president, I voted for him in the last election, I will still vote for him again because of this, I love Peter Obi LP for life.”

In conclusion, the cameraman emphasized the authenticity of the situation, stating, “You can see for yourself, you need nobody to tell you. This is real, this is no propaganda, for thirty years, they needed water supply here, and Peter Obi is giving them, he’s breaking fast with them, he’s ensuring that they have water, you will hear from some of the videos I’ve done right here in the mosque here. The Muslim community love him, and they are grateful and happy that he came here to be with them.”
