The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative aimed at revolutionizing the distribution of the upcoming national ID card. Under this innovative arrangement, individuals will no longer be required to visit specific ID card centers but can instead collect their cards from their local banks. This transformative partnership between NIMC and the Nigerian Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS) is poised to redefine how Nigerians obtain their ID cards, making the process more accessible and convenient for citizens across the nation.

The integration of national ID cards into the existing protocols for issuing debit/credit cards by banks promises a seamless experience for applicants.
