Jnr Pope: Akwa Ibom Gov Extends Pastoral Love To Family Of Late Makeup Artist (Photo)

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, demonstrated his compassion and commitment to supporting families in times of grief after he paid a condolence visit to the family of the late makeup artist, Abigail Frederick. Abigail tragically lost her life in a boat mishap alongside Nollywood actor Junior Pope and others.

Arriving from an official engagement in Abuja, Governor Eno wasted no time in visiting the bereaved family at their compound in Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area. With empathy and sincerity, Gov Eno expressed his deep condolences over the death of Abigail, and assured the family of his solidarity during their time of mourning.

Acknowledging the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the untimely death of Abigail, Governor Eno emphasized the resilience and determination exhibited by young people like her who pursue their passions with vigor. He emphasized the importance of supporting individuals who strive to make a difference in their communities.

In a gesture of tangible support, Governor Eno announced several offers to alleviate the family’s burden. He granted automatic employment in the State Civil Service to Abigail’s surviving elder sister and directed the Senior Special Assistant on Humanitarian Services to oversee the renovation of the family house to modern standards.

Additionally, the Governor pledged government assistance to Abigail’s two undergraduate sisters, who are currently studying at the University of Uyo. He affirmed the government’s commitment to standing by the family and providing the necessary support to ensure their well-being during this challenging period.

Governor Eno’s visit and generous offers exemplify the spirit of solidarity and compassion that defines Akwa Ibomites. By extending a helping hand to the bereaved family, he reaffirmed his dedication to serving the people of Akwa Ibom State and upholding the values of empathy and support for all citizens.
