Police Give Warning On Anger Management After Two Murder Cases Involving Domestic Disputes
The Delta State Police Command has cautioned Nigerians to manage their anger effectively to avoid tragic consequences. This advice comes after two separate murder cases involving domestic disputes, which resulted in the death of two women.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, the first incident occurred in Ozoro, where a 20-year-old man, Raphael Egbo, stabbed his 19-year-old girlfriend, Jessica Uzowanne, to death after she attacked him with a knife during a fight.
The second case involved Nicholas Charles, who stabbed his wife’s friend, Ngozi Sharon William, to death in Asaba after she informed his wife that he had been asking her out.
Edafe emphasized that both cases were sparked by uncontrolled anger and urged individuals to learn from these tragic events. He stressed that managing one’s temper is crucial to avoiding such situations and reminded the public that the court will ultimately decide whether the actions were in self-defense or not.
