NNPC begins offloading 240 million litres of imported petrol

A disturbing video circulating on social media of a fight at a petrol filling station has captured the desperation and frustration of Nigerians amidst the ongoing fuel scarcity. The clip shows two individuals engaging in a physical altercation at a filling station, allegedly over fuel purchases.

The video, shared on X platform, is accompanied by a caption that condemns the current state of affairs, urging Nigerians to direct their anger towards the government rather than each other. The post reads: “After buying fuel for 1k, you’ll still go home with swollen eyes from a fight. Tinubu is turning this country into a zoo; everyone is acting like a baboon. Fight the government, not yourselves. Nigerians, take back your country!”

Although the location of the incident is unknown, the video highlights the escalating tensions and exasperation among citizens forced to wait in long queues and pay exorbitant prices (up to 900-1,000 naira) for fuel. With many filling stations closed or hoarding supplies, the situation has become increasingly volatile.

As the situation continues to deteriorate, Nigerians are called upon to demand change and hold their leaders accountable rather than fight at the filling station
