‘My People Asked Me To Resign,’ Aide Writes Obaseki, PDP Chairman (Letters)
Hon Felix Ibhade, Senior Special Assistant, SSA to Governor Godwin Obaseki has resigned his position and also from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, GWG.ng reports.
In letters dated 30th April, 2024 to the governor and to his ward chairman, Ibhade who is from Esan Central LGA in the Central Senatorial District, tendered his resignation telling the governor that he was prompted by his people.
In the letter to the governor, Ibhade said that his continued “stay in the service of this administration is now at variance with the aspiration of my people of Ward 3 and Esan Central Local Government Area, as such I no longer enjoy their support.”
Continuing, he said:
“It is now very important for me to key into the decision of my people to chart a new political direction that will bring development to them.”
Ibhade even as he resigned nevertheless thanked Governor Obaseki for giving him the opportunity to serve in his government.
Even as he resigned from the Governor Obaseki government, Ibhade in another letter to the chairman of his ward in Esan Central tendered his resignation from the PDP. He said his decision followed consultations with his family and political associates.
GWG.ng reports that the resignation has sparked comments with insinuations that he was moving to the APC.
