Today, May 5th, marks the posthumous birthday of late Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi, and his daughter, Faithia Afolabi, has taken to social media to celebrate his memory.

Faithia shared a heartwarming video showcasing fond moments with her father before his untimely passing. In a touching tribute, she wished her father a happy birthday, declaring her forever love.

Faithia wrote, “Happy birthday to you, Dad. I miss you every day, but I know you’re in a better place now. I’m happy for you, and on this special day, I wish you a happy birthday in heaven, Dad! I miss you so much, but I’ll always cherish the good times we shared. I love you now and forever.”

This emotional tribute comes almost a year after Murphy Afolabi’s sudden death on May 14, 2023, which shocked the entertainment industry. He had slipped on bathroom tiles and hit his head, leading to his tragic passing just nine days after celebrating his 49th birthday.

Faithia’s mother, Deenat Animashaun, had also mourned the loss of her baby daddy last year when their daughter graduated from high school. She had expressed her wish for Murphy to be alive to witness their daughter’s achievements, praying for everything to be perfect for Fathia to achieve her goals.
