D’banj Reveals His Mother Secretly Planned His Wedding During Father’s Birthday Party (Video)

Veteran singer Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, has opened up about his wedding in an interview on TVC’s show ‘Your View.’

During the interview, D’banj revealed that his mother played a pivotal role in orchestrating his wedding, which took place during his father’s birthday party. He shared that his mother had cleverly arranged the wedding without his prior knowledge.

D’banj recounted how his mother had initially asked him to bring his girlfriend to the family gathering and questioned him about his thoughts on marriage.

 At that time, D’banj was not considering marriage and had envisioned a grand wedding for himself.

However, to his surprise, his mother had secretly planned the wedding ceremony and revealed the surprise with a ‘Happy Wedding’ cake during his father’s birthday celebration.

Despite the unexpected nature of the event, D’banj expressed his appreciation for his mother’s insight and acknowledged the unique challenges that come with being a high-profile celebrity in a marriage.

“My mother planned everything. She told me don’t worry, this is what we are going to do, so my dad’s birthday is July 2nd, so we were going to celebrate his birthday.

“She told me to bring the girl I was dating so they could all see her and questioned if I would marry her. I told her I wasn’t ready, that I wanted to do a big thing. She told me I would definitely do a big wedding, but first, I should bring her for Daddy’s birthday.

“As we finished Daddy’s birthday, they rolled Daddy’s cake and brought out ‘Happy Wedding’. My brother, D’Prince, was there, and he also was as surprised as I was. And till today, I thank her every day of how so far ahead she saw it and how I see social media stories.”
