Burna Boy Breaks Records With Highest-Grossing African Artist Tour

Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, has broken the record for the highest-grossing tour by an African musician. His ‘I Told Them’ tour generated $15.5 million from 15 concerts, with revenue from six more shows pending.
Touring Data, an American statistics firm, announced these achievements on X.
Additionally, Burna Boy set a new record for the highest-grossing arena concert by an African artiste in the U.S., earning $1.725 million at Washington’s Capital One Arena on March 7, 2024, surpassing his own record at TD Garden in Boston.
Furthermore, his performance at Hollywood’s Hard Rock Live on March 12, with an average ticket price of $172.76, marked the most expensive concert by an African artiste to date.
In Canada, Burna Boy’s tour grossed $5.7 million from 6 shows, setting another record for the highest earnings by an African artist.
Touring Data detailed these accomplishments in a tweet, summarizing the tour’s financial success and ticket sales and inevitably opening up on the new record set by Burna Boy.
