A dramatic scene unfolded in Ikeja, Lagos State, as LASTMA officers were forced to flee for their lives when angry road users confronted them for attempting to impound a driver’s vehicle.

A video posted on social media platform X showed the officers running for safety as the situation spiralled out of control.

According to eyewitnesses, the LASTMA officers had attempted to forcefully impound the driver’s vehicle, prompting a heated argument with road users. The situation quickly escalated, with the officers fleeing the scene to avoid being attacked.

Ironically, the police, who were supposed to intervene and restore order, were seen shooting teargas and arresting the driver, who reportedly did nothing to warrant the action of the LATSMA officials.
