One of Africa’s leading missionaries, Bro Mark Kolo on Sunday charged Christians to uphold the purpose of God in multiplying the seed of God in their lives as he lamented that many had turned what should be the womb of God into tombs.

Kolo spoke while delivering the Sunday homily at the Hospital Chapel, National Hospital, Abuja.

GWG.ng reports that he spoke on the topic ‘A little one shall become a thousand’ drawn from Isaiah 60:22.

Speaking on the plan of God for the growth of the gospel, he also divulged the on the plan of the devil using the religious establishment and other devices to stop the growth of the gospel.

Mark Kolo, one of the leaders of the Mission Supporters League, MSL and a leading missionary in the African Continent used several biblical illustrations and also contemporary developments in Africa and Asia to project the growth trajectory as set by God for the manifestation of greatness in His children.

Affirming that God desires the growth of all, Mr Kolo noted the original charge to Adam and Eve to multiply which he said remains a charge for everyone today. While noting that the seed for greatness has been planted in everyone, he, however, affirmed that the path of greatness often takes time. For the children of Israel who he said entered Egypt with just 70 souls, the preacher said that it took 300 years for them to transform into a great nation that became a threat to Egypt.

Remarkably, he said that while God purposes greatness for all, he regretted that not all come into greatness. He noted for example John the Baptist who was born with the promise of greatness in Luke 1:15. He said that John came aligned with God’s purpose for him through growth as illustrated in Luke 1:80.

GWG.ng reports that the cleric continuously referenced growth as a basic prerequisite for anyone that must bring forth the seed of God in him.

Mr Mark Kolo observed that whereas the modern church in Africa has fixated itself on traditional growth regimes, he made allusions to the nations of Asia presently reputed to be Islamic strongholds but are reckoned with the fastest growing churches now in Christendom.

In a tone that shook traditional Christian thinking, Mr Kolo affirmed that suggestions that only ladies could be referred to as daughters of Zion was wrong as he said that every man or woman who has the capacity to receive the seed of God is also a daughter of Zion. All such daughters of Zion irrespective of sex, he said, are supposed to bring forth offsprings to the glory of God.

“Every man who is born-again is also a daughter of Zion. Daughters of Zion means anyone who has the capacity to receive seed spiritually. God deposits his word in my life and has an expectation that that seed will grow.”

Noting how the deposit of God’s seed alters the life of any Christian, he related it to the change in lifestyle of a pregnant woman who he said has her sleeping, eating and behaviour altered by the seed she is carrying inside of her.

“Whenever God deposits his seed in you that seed takes over your life as it grows,” the cleric revealed as he lamented that for many who refuse to heed God their wombs have been turned into tombs.

In a thought-provoking revelation, the Man of God dissected the prognosis of God’s reproductive pattern as drawn from 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”

He said that from that scripture it was clear that the seed a Christian has should go across at least three generations.

He referenced that Paul who passed on the message to his followers who were also to pass on the same message to their followers.

Pastor Mark Kolo while highlighting the importance of spiritual seeds easily highlighted the case of Peninnah, wife of Elkanah who the bible said had many children but none of whom was reckoned with or listed in biblical history. Hannah on the other hand had a child after asking from God who became the Samuel that led Israel.

Kolo in his message also paid compliments to Sussanah Wesley, mother of John and Charles Wesley who he said nurtured her seeds to become change agents who altered the spiritual configuration of Europe in their time.

GWG.ng reports that the ministration was preceded by testimonies by Alifa Daniel, Dr Mrs Undie and a 40th wedding anniversary thanksgiving by Surveyor (Barrister) and Mrs Ifeanyi Anago.

Prayers for the couple whose lives have impacted and imparted many were offered by Dr Zacchaues Ajuwon, a former CMD of the National Hospital.

The message was also marked with deliveries by the choir and a special number by AVM John Laoye who was backed by his wife, Esther and three children, Joshua, Praise and Femi.
