Nigerian International Foundation Holds First UK Charity Project

The OCI Foundation UK on September 9th 2024, recorded its outing on British soil following the donation of food and clothing materials to the homeless and other disadvantaged communities in Liverpool as part of the Foundation’s efforts to advance its social and public welfare.

The items were received by Croxteth and Gillmos Community Federation on behalf of the disadvantaged groups as part of their own Family matters project.

The OCI Foundation UK team led by two of its directors, Revd. Marvin Oshiegbu and Mrs. Kim Akwara were accompanied by volunteers of the Foundation and other associates from Faith Temple Ministries, Liverpool, an institution that is formally partnering with OCI Foundation UK on its activities.

Revd. Oshiegbu stated that while this is the Foundation’s first programme on British soil, it is also scheduled to make its second outing this year on September 27th and 28th in London at Zenith Global Health’s 2024 Summit and Awards.

Mrs. Kim Akwara added that earlier in the year, 22nd and 23rd April, OCI Foundation also featured at the 2024 Africa Healthcare Summit and Awards organized by Zenith Global Health, in Accra, Ghana.

She averred that apart from  being formally registered with the Charity Commission in the UK on October 3rd, established to advance and promote health, advance education, enhance social  public welfare among underprivileged communities, the OCI Foundation International also has a legal presence in Nigeria since 2016 and Australia, since 2018.

The Foundation, she announced, has previously received multiple international awards, including those from UN affiliated bodies and institutions in Africa, Europe and Australasia.
