An online spat has emerged after a Nigerian was confronted with the claim that the increase in the price of meat pie in an African Store in the in the United States was blamed on President Bola Tinubu.

GWG.ng reports that the fight came to fore in a Tiktok video by @curvaceous001 who alleged that she was told at the African Store that the two pieces of meat pie that formerly sold for $5 had been increased to $6 because of bad governance in Nigeria supposedly by President Tinubu.

However, a livid @ curvaceous001 fired back at the African store merchant wondering how Tinubu could be blamed for the increasing cost of living or meat pie price hike in the United States?

The response of the African Store dealer was “no be una vote for Tinubu?” as he went on to explain that getting palm oil and other ingredients from Nigeria had become more difficult because of bad roads and other challenges.

However, @curvaceous001 was unsparing and warned that she would proceed with a video showdown should the trader again reference Tinubu with the increased amount of his goods in the Store.

“Why would you associate the Nigerian government, the president with what is obtainable here?”

GWG.ng reports that the post on Twitter has inevitably stoked outrage with some turning it into an ethnic battle.
