A former President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator (Dr) David A.B. Mark, GCON, has condoled with the publisher and editor-in-chief of THE CONCLAVE online newspaper, Mr Sufuyan Ojeifo, on the death of his mother, Madam Aishetu Ojeifo.

Madam Aishetu Ojeifo died at her residence in Owo, Ondo State, on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from a brief illness, exactly two months to her 92nd birthday.

In a condolence letter, dated October 14, 2024, which he personally signed, Senator Mark expressed sadness at the loss of the matriarch of the Ojeifo family and prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul.

He wrote thus:

“I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your beloved mother, Madam Aishetu Ojeifo. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family during this difficult time.

“Your mother’s legacy lives on through the values she instilled in you: professionalism, humility and kindness.  Your commitment to balanced journalism, devoid of tribal tones, is a testament  to her positive influence.

“You are known for being reliable, deep in thought, and humble in action; may these traits carry you through this challenging period.

“Your logically critical mind is now clouded by grief but find solace in the cherished memories of your mother’s love and guidance.

“May her soul rest in peace, and may you find strength in the support of loved ones, colleagues and the entire Conclave family.

“Please accept my deepest condolence.

“Yours sincerely

Signed
