Prominent Northern Tinubu Apologist ‘Confused’ As Critics Besiege
Bashir Ahmad, arguably the most prominent Northern social media apologist for President Bola Tinubu was under fire at the weekend after claiming that he was lost for words over the trial of more than 60 minors over their alleged role in the end hunger protest of last August.
Bashir Ahmad, who served in the Muhammadu Buhari presidency and was one of the early champions of the Tinubu aspiration has been the target of twitter users after expressing his loss of words at the touching videos of the minors in court.
Though he has not been openly patronized with an appointment or known contract by the Tinubu administration, GWG.ng reports that Bashir Ahmad has remained supportive of the administration.
Under pressure from tweeps who accused him of tweeting about Palestine and the conflicts between Israel and Hamas/Hezbollah, Bashir Ahmad responded with what some considered as a bland reaction.
He tweeted thus in his reaction to the video of the minors in court:
His many critics were quick to descend on him accusing him of losing his expression when it came to his political patron.
GWG.ng gathered some of the reactions that were aimed at embarrassing Bashir Ahmad over his association with Tinubu following the controversy over the minors.
GWG.ng reports that Bashir Ahmad is yet to respond to the online assault against him over the trial of the minors.
