First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has marked the start of the New Year with a heartwarming gesture by celebrating the first male and female babies born on January 1, 2025, in public hospitals across Abuja.
Represented by the wife of the Vice President, Nana Shettima, the First Lady visited the health facilities to personally welcome the new babies born on the first day of the year, 2025 in Abuja and present gifts to their families

The symbolic visit reflects the First Lady’s commitment to supporting maternal and child health, while also fostering joy and hope for families as the year begins.
Speaking on behalf of the first lady, Nana Shettima expressed gratitude to the healthcare workers who ensured the safe delivery of the babies and reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to improving healthcare services across the nation.
The initiative not only brought smiles to the families of the newborns but also highlighted the significance of public healthcare institutions in the lives of Nigerians.
