Nigerians hoping to secure positions in the ongoing Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) recruitment exercise have expressed frustration over the challenges being faced in successfully applying through the official portal.

The Custom recruitment process, which began recently, is set to close Thursday, January 2, leaving many applicants scrambling to complete their submissions.

Reports indicate that the recruitment website has been unresponsive for many users, making it difficult to access the portal, submit applications, and print acknowledgment slips. While some applicants have managed to register successfully, others have been unable to complete the process due to persistent technical issues.

In light of these challenges, a concerned Nigerian took to X (formerly Twitter) to share an update aimed at providing clarity and hope to affected candidates. According to the post, a source within the Nigeria Customs Service confirmed that the recruitment portal remains active, despite the technical glitches.

The post read:
*”Update on Nigeria Customs Service Recruitment:
I reached out to someone from the inside regarding the error in submitting and inability to print acknowledgment slips. They confirmed that the site is still up and running, and intending candidates should keep trying to submit.

By Friday, candidates would be able to print the slip using their NIN, all things being equal. Keep your eyes open, stay vigilant, and constantly visit the site.”*

As the deadline approaches, applicants are urged to remain persistent and keep trying to submit their applications. The assurance that acknowledgment slips may be printable by Friday provides a glimmer of hope for those who are yet to complete the process.

The Nigeria Customs Service has yet to release an official statement addressing the technical challenges faced by applicants, leaving many to rely on updates shared through social media platforms.
