By Gideon Ayeni
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially closed its portal for the 2024 recruitment exercise.
The announcement, displayed on the Custom Service recruitment webpage, marks the end of the application process, which saw thousands of Nigerians vying for various positions within the agency.
For applicants who were unable to print their acknowledgment slips during the recruitment application process, the Nigeria custom service has provided a final opportunity.
Candidates are advised to input their registered National Identification Number (NIN) on the portal to download and print their slips. However, the agency stressed that those who have already printed their slips do not need to generate a new one.
The NCS reiterated that the recruitment process remains entirely free, warning applicants to beware of scammers demanding payments. The disclaimer emphasized: “No fees or payments are required for the recruitment process. Beware of scammers!”
GWG.ng reports that this announcement comes amidst earlier reports that many Nigerians faced challenges accessing the recruitment portal due to technical issues, sparking frustration and complaints. Despite these setbacks, the agency maintained its commitment to a fair and transparent recruitment process.
As the Nigeria Custom Service moves to the next phase of its recruitment exercise, candidates are urged to stay updated and adhere strictly to all official directives.
