BREAKING: Tinubu Govt Announces Recruitment For National Health Fellows Program

The government under President Bola Tinubu has launched a recruitment program to hire young Nigerians as National Health Fellows.

This initiative, known as the National Health Fellows Program, aims to involve the youth in improving the country’s health sector.

Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, announced the program on Monday. He stated that successful applicants will receive compensation and the necessary resources to create a positive impact in healthcare.

Onanuga also mentioned that the selected fellows would be between the ages of 25 and 35, and they will be stationed across all 774 local government areas in the country. The deadline for applications is set for January 27, 2025.

For eligibility, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Be between the ages of 25 and 35.

2. Hold a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, IT, or social sciences.

3. Have demonstrated interest or experience in public health, health-related NGOs, or community projects that show leadership and initiative.

4. Be available to work full-time in the fellowship program.

5. Be an indigene of the state they are applying for.

6. Own a smartphone with data capabilities (for platforms like WhatsApp and Zoom).

7. Provide a recommendation from a university dean, NYSC primary assignment, or a respected organization showing leadership and character.

8. Display strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial drive.
