Man Kills, Cooks Wife’s Body In Pressure Cooker After Argument!

In a chilling incident that has shocked Hyderabad, a 45-year-old ex-serviceman named Gurumurthy confessed to killing his wife, P. Venkata Madhavi, and cooking her body parts in a pressure cooker.

The couple had been married for 13 years and shared two children. Madhavi, aged 35, was reported missing on January 16, 2025, after an argument with her husband over a family matter. The police began investigating her sudden disappearance, initially receiving a report from Gurumurthy and his in-laws. He claimed that Madhavi had left home after a heated argument, but suspicions arose as the investigation unfolded.

As days passed, the police became more suspicious of Gurumurthy’s story. After questioning him further, he reportedly confessed to killing his wife. He claimed that he dismembered her body, cooking some parts in a pressure cooker. Despite his confession, the police have been unable to find any of the woman’s body parts. Ch Praveen Kumar, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for L.B. Nagar, confirmed that the police are still verifying Gurumurthy’s statements. “As of now, we have not found any body parts. The investigation is progressing,” he said.

The couple had been experiencing marital issues, with frequent arguments leading to tension in the household. On the day she disappeared, Madhavi had been upset about her plans to visit her family in Nandyal for the Sankranti festival. The police also revealed that the couple’s two children were not home at the time of the incident, as they were staying at Gurumurthy’s sister’s house.

Gurumurthy, a security guard at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) facility in Kanchan Bagh, initially misled authorities by reporting his wife missing. However, under intense interrogation, he finally admitted to the crime. The details of his actions have left the police and the community in shock, and further investigations are underway to confirm the exact circumstances of Madhavi’s death.

The disturbing nature of this crime has sparked a wave of reactions from the public, particularly concerning the husband’s brutality. Many are left questioning how such a horrific incident could occur in a seemingly normal family setting.
