Nollywood actor Yul Edochie who rocked social media when he switched wives and eventually styled himself as a pastor has again made another switch as a traditionalist to supposedly honour his ancestors.

Popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has said that many Africans are abandoning their traditional religion because they fear what others will say.

In a post on Instagram, Yul Edochie described this trend of abandoning the African traditional religion as a serious mistake. He believes that African traditions are powerful and should not be abandoned.

The actor expressed his strong support for traditional beliefs and promised to remain loyal to the ways of his ancestors. According to him, African religion is based on truth, fairness, and transparency.

Sharing a photo of himself dressed in traditional Igbo white attire, he wrote: “Because of fear of what people will say, Africans are running away from their powerful African religion, their originality. Abomination!!!”

He continued, “I will NEVER abandon the ways of my forefathers. It is built on truth, transparency, and fairness. I’m a Hardcore Traditionalist. ISI MMILI JI OFOR. EZEDIKE 1. ALUSI NA EJE UKA. OKALA MMADU OKALA MMUO. THE KING OF WARRIORS.”

In another post, Edochie raised concerns about the increasing number of young people dying too soon. He pointed out that many people in their twenties, thirties, and forties are passing away, and he believes the reason is their rejection of traditional beliefs.

He explained that powerful spirits used to protect people, but because they have been neglected, they have left in anger. He urged Africans to return to their original traditions to avoid further harm.

GWG.ng reports that the latest move by Yul Edochie concerning his attitude to religion follows his controversial switch of homes after he married fellow actor, Judy Austin as a second wife while still married to May, his first wife.
