A video circulating on social media has sent the social media on frenzy as it captures a female student allegedly from UNIZIK, physically assaulting a male lecturer on the corridor of a school building.

The confrontation reportedly began when the lecturer gently tapped the female student and said “Excuse me, please” while trying to walk past her as she recorded a TikTok video in the middle of the walkway.

In the first clip, the lecturer can be seen touching the female student lightly as he asked to pass.

However, a second video shows a dramatic escalation, with the female student slapping, scratching, and tearing the lecturer’s clothes in what appeared to be an unprovoked attack.

A leaked WhatsApp chat allegedly from the lecturer has now provided more details on the incident. According to him, he was walking through the passage after leaving Hall 19, where Dr. Ebekue was teaching, when he noticed the student filming herself. He lightly tapped her and asked her to excuse him, but after taking a few steps, he overheard her say, “Who does this man think he is?”

Concerned that he might have been caught in her video, the lecturer returned to confirm if she was his student and to ensure that his image was deleted from the footage. However, things quickly escalated when he asked for the phone.

“I then demanded and reached for her phone, only to be bitten by the girl on both arms in quick succession. I then held onto her left hand so she wouldn’t get away. That was when she really lost it; she tore my clothes, slapped and scratched my face, and generally went berserk on me—all of which I received with calm to my own admiration, if I do say so myself,” he recounted in the chat.

The lecturer further revealed that they were both taken to the school security office, where the student allegedly claimed that he was stripping her naked. He also mentioned that the student’s mother is a lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering, suggesting that this might have emboldened her actions.

The video has since gone viral online, with many calling for the university authorities to take disciplinary action against the student while others argue for a thorough investigation.
