VeryDarkMan has responded to DeeOne’s gay allegation, accusing Nedu of orchestrating the attack over past disputes and threatening to expose Nedu’s personal secrets if the matter is revisited.

Social media personality Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has fired back at former BBNaija housemate Deeone (Aderombi Adedayo), who made explosive claims about him being gay during an interview on Nedu’s Honest Bunch podcast.

Deeone’s comments went viral, sparking widespread online discussion.

In his response on February 11, 2025, VDM denied the allegations, calling them false and malicious. However, he didn’t just focus on clearing his name. Instead, he turned the tables, exposing the connections between himself, Deeone, and Honest Bunch host, Nedu.

According to VDM, Nedu had been trying to bring him onto his podcast for months, offering extravagant incentives. The social media critic shared WhatsApp messages between himself and Nedu, in which Nedu allegedly promised him a car if he agreed to appear on the show. VDM claims this offer came after he turned down previous invitations to the podcast. The online personality also accused Nedu of making repeated attempts to get closer to him, which VDM suggested was part of the reason Nedu allowed Deeone to make the damaging claim about his sexuality.

“I didn’t respond to Nedu’s invitations. When we met in Abuja, he told me if I came to his podcast, he would buy me a car,” VDM said in a video post. “I’ve always kept my distance from Nedu. He doesn’t have good intentions.”

VDM emphasized that he wasn’t interested in legal action, saying he was a “street boy” and would not take anyone to court. Instead, he urged his followers to understand the deeper motives behind the podcast’s contents. VDM also accused Nedu’s podcast of being driven by money, claiming that the discussions were largely superficial and aimed solely at increasing YouTube views, rather than addressing serious societal issues.

“This whole podcast thing is about views, not real issues. Nedu doesn’t care about anything but making money from YouTube,” VDM added, claiming that many guests on the podcast were either paid to appear or had paid for the chance to be featured.

Amid the drama, VDM took to his social media to share a glimpse of his own lavish lifestyle, posting a video of himself flying on a private jet. This was likely a calculated move to contrast his successful image with the ongoing feud, showing that he was unaffected by the allegations and the drama surrounding his name.

In an additional twist, VDM made a bold claim, saying he would expose more about Nedu’s past, but only if lawyer Deji Adeyanju contacted him again to try and settle the matter. VDM hinted that he had potentially explosive information about Nedu’s relationships with various women, adding more fuel to the already heated exchange.

With tensions running high between the two media personalities, it remains to be seen whether this conflict will escalate further or if VDM’s exposé on Nedu will have any lasting impact on the Honest Bunch podcast’s reputation.
