Suspense As El-Rufai Appears In Atiku’s Entourage

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has stirred reactions after being spotted alongside former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, during a condolence visit to the family of the late nationalist, Chief Edwin Clark, on Friday.

Atiku, who shared details of the visit on his X handle, described Clark’s passing as a great loss to Nigeria and emphasized the need for national unity in his honor.

“Today, I led a delegation, including former Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, @elrufai, to offer condolences to the family of the esteemed statesman, Chief Edwin Clark. I prayed for comfort for his loved ones and acknowledged his lifelong commitment to a united Nigeria,” Atiku wrote.

Atiku further noted that Clark’s contributions extended beyond the Niger Delta and PANDEF, as he considered Nigeria his constituency throughout his lifetime.

“The best way to honor his legacy is for our leaders to foster unity and inclusiveness, values he upheld throughout his life. May his soul rest in peace,” he added.

The appearance of El-Rufai in Atiku’s delegation has sparked curiosity among political observers, given their previous political differences.
