Peter Obi has joined Chimamanda Adichie in London for her book launch, praising her brilliance and stressing the need for better education and governance.

Former Nigerian presidential candidate Peter Obi attended the launch of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s latest novel, ‘Dream Count’, at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London.

The event, which attracted about 3,000 attendees, featured a conversation between Adichie and journalist Elizabeth Day, which Obi described as “insightful” and engaging.

Sharing his thoughts on his X handle, Obi praised Adichie’s work and the significance of the event. He noted that beyond celebrating literary excellence, the occasion was a reminder of Nigeria’s immense potential if key areas like education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation receive proper investment.

“With the energy and brilliance of our youth, a collective commitment, and guidance through good governance, the dream of a better Nigeria is within reach. I remain confident that all hope is not lost. A new Nigeria is possible,” Obi stated.

He also highlighted the global recognition of Adichie’s work, noting that ‘Dream Count’ has already reached number one on Amazon UK, further cementing her influence as a literary icon.

Obi’s presence at the event underscores his belief in literature as a powerful tool for national development and his continued advocacy for youth empowerment and social progress.
