FIFA Half Tome Show 2026

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has announced a major change for the 2026 World Cup final. For the first time in the tournament’s history, there will be a half-time show during the final match.

Speaking on Wednesday, Infantino also shared that the World Cup will have a major presence in Times Square during both the final and the third-place match. This move aims to bring even more excitement to the tournament, which is already the biggest event in global football.

The introduction of a half-time show will make the World Cup more similar to the Super Bowl, which is known for its elaborate performances during breaks in the game. This marks a significant shift in FIFA’s approach to entertainment during the tournament.

The 2026 World Cup will be hosted across 16 cities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. With matches spread across three countries, FIFA aims to make this edition of the tournament the most spectacular yet.

Infantino confirmed the news in a post on Instagram, saying, “I can confirm the first-ever half-time show at a FIFA World Cup final in New York/New Jersey, in association with Global Citizen. This will be a historic moment for the World Cup and a show befitting the biggest sporting event in the world.”

This announcement suggests that FIFA is looking to enhance the fan experience by blending sports and entertainment in new ways.
