Man Hospitalized After Heartbreak From Girlfriend Over ₦200K Gift
By Gideon Ayeni

A young Nigerian man has reportedly landed in the hospital after his girlfriend ended their relationship because he gave her ₦200,000 out of the ₦450,000 he had, refusing to engage in internet fraud (Yahoo) to meet her financial expectations.
The heartbroken man took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his ordeal, posting screenshots of their conversation to expose how their relationship took a sour turn
In the leaked chat, the woman berated him for not giving her more money, questioning his decision to keep a portion for himself.
“How much do you even have that you’re making noise? Are you the first person to give money to a girlfriend? How much did you even give me?” she ranted in a voice note.
She continued: “So, your friend gave you ₦450K, and you’re giving me just ₦200K? That’s unfair. Just move on with your life.”
Shortly after sending the message, she reportedly blocked him, leaving him devastated.
Man Shares Proof After Hospitalization
As the heartbreak took a toll on him, the man revealed that he was later admitted to the hospital. To silence skeptics who doubted his story, he posted a video of himself on a hospital bed alongside the voice notes from his ex-girlfriend.
“I didn’t expect this to go viral. I appreciate the words of encouragement and even the criticism. I have learned from my mistakes ,” he wrote.
“For those saying this is fake, this was when I was admitted to the hospital a few days after the breakup, along with the voice note she sent me.”
