TikTok Star Peller Breaks Silence On #30DayRants Backlash (Video)
By Benjamin Abioye

Nigerian TikTok star Peller has addressed the backlash over #30DayRants, clarifying his stance and defending himself against accusations.
Nigerian TikTok star, Olapeller Abass Badmus, popularly known as Peller, has responded to the backlash over his comments on the #30DayRants challenge, explaining that his words were misunderstood.
In a new video, Peller clarified that he never meant to discourage Nigerians from expressing their frustrations but simply pointed out that TikTok is not the only platform where people earn a living. He emphasized that if people are truly tired of the situation in the country, the right step should be gathering for a real protest instead of attacking him.
He also questioned why the focus suddenly shifted to him, as if he was responsible for Nigeria’s problems or had the power to fix them. Making it clear that he is just an ordinary citizen, he said, “I am a nobody.”
Addressing a claim that his team banned a TikTok user who urged celebrities to join the #30DayRants, Peller explained that he personally made inquiries from TikTok and found out that the user deactivated his own account, contradicting the claim that he was banned. He suggested that the person wanted to frame him for something he didn’t do.
Peller also defended his girlfriend, Jarvis, stating that when she said “we have money”, she wasn’t bragging but actually referring to Nigeria as a wealthy nation, though people misunderstood her.
He ended the video by urging people to channel their grievances to the right authorities instead of directing their anger at him. He stressed that he has no political influence or the ability to change the situation.
