Tinubu Working Visit To Paris

President Tinubu is set for a retreat in Paris, France, where he hopes to among others assess his administration’s midterm performance, reflect on key reforms, and plan strategic goals for the coming year.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will leave for Paris, France Wednesday for a working visit to assess the performance of his administration. The primary purpose of the visit is to conduct an in-depth evaluation of his administration’s performance and the key milestones achieved so far. The visit will allow the President to assess his progress at the midterm point of his administration and plan for the future.

In a statement shared on his X platform, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, emphasized the visit’s importance. “During this visit, President Tinubu will participate in a strategic retreat to review the progress of ongoing reforms and map out plans for the administration’s second anniversary,” Onanuga stated. “This period of reflection will help inform plans to deepen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the coming year.”

The President’s review comes at a time of considerable economic achievement. Recently, the Central Bank of Nigeria reported a significant increase in the country’s foreign exchange reserves, which now stand at $23.11 billion, a remarkable rise from $3.99 billion in 2023. Onanuga remarked, “This growth in reserves is a testament to the administration’s fiscal reforms,” highlighting the administration’s ongoing efforts to stabilize and strengthen the Nigerian economy.

Despite being abroad, President Tinubu will remain fully engaged with his team and continue overseeing the country’s governance. “Even while away, the President will continue to guide the activities of the government, ensuring that governance remains on course,” Onanuga assured. The President is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.

This visit to Paris reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening his administration’s initiatives, consolidating progress made, and laying the groundwork for the future, with a focus on continued economic and developmental reforms.
