She took to Facebook to explain her reasons for supporting the idea of polygamy, though with a few conditions.

In her post, Buithat stated that she has no problem with polygamy itself but criticized how many men approach it, often lacking fairness and wisdom. She pointed out that if her husband ever decided to take another wife, she would not object, as she had already made her stance clear to him beforehand.

“I’ve always admired polygamy. It’s never been an issue for me. What I do take issue with is how many of our men go about it, lacking fairness and wisdom,” she wrote. She also added that as she has grown over time, her perspective on the matter has evolved.

The woman emphasized that she isn’t seeking a jealous or manipulative co-wife but instead desires someone who is kind, wise, loving, and of good character. “I want someone kind, wise, filled with love, and grounded in good character,” she explained.

Buithat further shared her vision for what a polygamous marriage could look like. She expressed the importance of her husband being fair and just and her hope that the new wife would be spiritually grounded. “Can my husband be truly just? And can the new wife be spiritually grounded?” she asked, reflecting on the essential qualities she believes should define a polygamous union.

Lastly, she expressed her wish to be able to travel for work, knowing that her children are safe and well taken care of at home. “I want the freedom to travel for work knowing my children are safe and cared for,” she added.

In conclusion, Buithat shared her thoughts on polygamy and what it truly means to her. “Life really isn’t meant to be this hard,” she said, urging others to understand her perspective and the deeper values she associates with polygamy.
