Social media firebrand VeryDarkMan has come out to address widespread rumors claiming he was bounced from Obi Cubana’s grand 50th birthday party in Abuja — and also responded to allegations that he was deported from China.

The drama began when a media personality known as Radiogad suggested that the online critic tried to force his way into the star-studded celebration without an invitation, but was denied entry. According to Radiogad, while he received an invite to the event, he couldn’t attend because he was out of the country — unlike VDM, who lives in Abuja but allegedly showed up uninvited.

Reacting swiftly, the controversial figure didn’t mince words. He dismissed the story as a weak attempt to embarrass him. “The thing is they are waiting for my downfall; it didn’t happen, then they decide to plan my downfall. The plan failed, then they decided to create a story to make them happy… Pitiful. Just Google The Ratel,” he wrote in a fiery post.

He also addressed another circulating claim — this one pushed by actor Uche Maduagwu — alleging that he had been deported from China. Again, the activist brushed off the claim as nonsense, blaming the rumor mill on people who are desperate to see him fall.

“They have no evidence. They’re just bitter people looking for any way to pull me down,” he added in a follow-up video.

The reactions online were loud and divided. While some mocked him, many stood by his side. A fan commented, “Obi Cubana wey VDM get issue with, you really think he’d go for his birthday? Chai, Radiogad you be compound fool.” Another declared, “VDM na their papa. Nobody fit drag him like that.”

However, others weren’t buying his defense. Some claimed he thrives on drama and often talks more than necessary. A user wrote, “VDM needs to start acting like someone with sense. Everything no be clout.”

Still, the social media critic stayed calm but firm in his stance, insisting that the noise around him is simply proof of how much power his voice holds. “I don’t worship money. I don’t worship man. I worship my ancestors and God,” he stated.

Love him or hate him, VeryDarkMan knows how to stay in the conversation — and if his critics thought this would silence him, they clearly don’t know him well enough.
