A video capturing the traditional marriage of Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face, and Honourable Natasha Osawaru has surfaced online with questions as to why the occasion took place in Idoma Land and not the bride’s base in Benin.
The clip, which has now gone viral, shows the traditional marriage ceremony held on Friday, April 25, with both the music star—2face and the Edo-born politician—Natasha donning traditional attire to mark the union.
Natasha was seen respectfully covering her head with a scarf and wrapping an Idoma cloth around her waist, symbolizing her acceptance into 2face’s cultural heritage. She was surrounded by traditional dancers, also dressed in vibrant Idoma outfits, as she was formally introduced to the singer’s kinsmen.
In a show of celebration, 2face walked up to the group of dancers and sprayed them with cash, drawing cheers from attendees.
