National Delegate millions

A national delegate to the recent national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from Kaduna State, Mr Tanko Rossi Sabo, has returned home to share his windfall with his community in Sanga LGA reportedly spending at least N7 million on the less privileged ones.

The recent PDP convention was reportedly characterised with bribery of the delegates with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC intervening on the day of the convention.

Mr Rueben Buhari who served as Special Adviser, Media to late Governor Yakowa of Kaduna State, said that Sabo spent N7 million alone on the less privileged in his community.

“He bought jerseys, paid school fees and hospital fees. He distributed the rest to other support groups,” Buhari said in a post on Facebook.

“Whatever is the argument on whether he was right in collecting the money or not, my consolation is that hundreds of the less privileged in his community are smiling today. For that, I say well-done Tanko,” Buhari added of the gesture of the PDP national delegate in spending his millions from the convention windfall on his community members.

Tanko Rossi Sabo was among the Kaduna State delegates who were at the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where former Vice President Atiku Abubakar emerged as the Presidential Candidate of the PDP.

Meanwhile, Niger Delta Rights Assembly (NDRA) has called for nomination of Gov Ifeanyi Okowa, of Delta as running mate to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The issue of his running mate is yet to be resolved, but Okowa featured prominently on the list of candidates being considered for the position.

Other politicians being considered are; former Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Anyim Pius Anyim; Rivers State Governor and first runner-up to Atiku, Mr Nyesom Wike; and Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel.
