28 Suspected Internet Fraudsters Arrested In Nasarawa
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Monday said that it had detained 28 alleged fraudsters in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The commission claimed that the arrests were effected on Saturday when the suspects were apprehended in their hiding place. This came after information about their alleged involvement in online fraud was received by the EFCC.
Those arrested were Yusuf Mudi, Umar Ibrahim, Gabriel Selumun, Moses Hamidu, Christian Daniel Kelechi, Sara Abdullah, Abdulsalam Ogba, Ngene Sunday Chinonso, Muoneke Chukuojekwe Celestine, Terhemen Sesugh Silas, Emmanuel Phillip, Emmanuel Akwe, Jones Kismet, Shehu Khalif, Emmanuel Isaiah, and Adeleke Kehinde Raphael.
Others included Joshua Emmanuel, Gedion Sunday, Terwase Kator Kenneth, Samuel Kubialah, Sanusi Abdullahi, Dugeri Jerome, Terhemen Mkavter Mark, Benny Ukeh Iyaji, Arigu Nathaniel Bishara, and Emmanuel John Idi, Ozigho Agnes, Kenneth Joy, Rejoice Solomon, and Omotunde Mayowa.
37 different phones, two identity cards, two wallets, two laptop chargers, one knife, three power banks, one hard drive, different phones, five laptops, five ATM cards from various banks, and one battery charger were among the items recovered from them. They would shortly face charges in court, the Commission added.
