President Tinubu To Attend Senegal’s Presidential Inauguration As ECOWAS Chairperson

President Bola Tinubu will leave Abuja for Dakar, Senegal, on Tuesday, April 2 to witness the inauguration of Bassirou Diomaye Faye, the incoming president of Senegal.

The President’s visit was requested by the Republic of Senegal, according to a statement released on Monday by the White House spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.

Along with other regional leaders, President Tinubu, the Chairperson of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, will be present at the opening on Tuesday at the Diamniadio Exhibition Centre.

“The President will be accompanied on the trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, and other senior government officials.

“The President is expected to return to Nigeria after the conclusion of the inauguration,” Ngelale stated.
