Aide Slams Wizkid For Dishonouring Buhari’s Age

Presidential aide, Lauretta Onochie has slammed popular music star, Wizkid, for calling President Muhammadu Buhari an old man, saying the artiste exhibited “crass ignorance, insensitivity and childishness.”

Onochie noted that it was disrespectful for the 30-year-old singer to address Buhari in such manner.

“Its not disrespectful to call anyone old. Its the way and manner Ayo Balogun addressed the President that leaves a sour taste in the mouth,” she said.

Wizkid had on Sunday, lambasted Buhari, following a tweet by the president wishing US President, Donald Trump swift recovery from COVID-19.

The singer asked the president to face the issues on Police brutality, referring to the president as “old man.”

“Donald trump is not your business!

Old man! Police/Sarz still killing

Nigerian youth on a daily! Do something!

Nothing concern u for America!

Face your country!!” the artiste wrote.

Reacting, Onochie said the artiste will learn respect when he grows up.

She tweeted, “He exhibited crass ignorance, insensitivity and childishness. But hey, he’s a  #DumbkidNotWhizKid When he grows up, he might learn respect.”
