The Main Factor That Pushed Paul To Success

For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ FOR YOU GENTILES. Ephesians 3:1.

The remarkable success of the ministry of Apostle Paul will not be traced to the claim that he had a good international office, good support staff, effective fund raising schemes, printed attractive hand bills or any of the Seven Principles of Church Growth that are popular with us today.

Paul was successful because from the beginning he followed his vision as revealed to him by the Master.

In Acts 26:17-18, Jesus told him he would be sent to the Gentiles

“Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,”

His brief was as such clear and in Ephesians 3:1, he admitted as much, saying, he was prisoner of Jesus for the Gentiles. Given the situation at that time it was not a popular mission.

Just as some doctors who are General Practitioners evolve to become medical consultants, Paul seemed to have grown to become an apostle to the Gentiles!

Knowing God’s purpose for you is the key.

The story is told of the English missionary, Sydney Elton who relocated to Ilesha, Nigeria in the 30s and did the silent work that laid the ground work for many of those who impacted Nigeria with the word of God.

Today, he strolls around Heaven with Paul as a successful servant of God.

The key is knowing, walking and working in the will of God.
