A Mystery Turns To Revelation For Paul
How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ).
Ephesians 3:3-4
Here, Paul talks of the mystery of Christ which came to him by revelation.
Sure, something is a mystery if it is hidden to men. When we know it, it is no longer a mystery.
Despite his stewardship under Professor Gamaliel, Christ was a mystery to Paul until he encountered Him personally on the road to Damascus. Then his perception changed forever.
God by revelation opened Himself to Paul and he became changed forever.
His Personal Assistant and all those with him in that special delegation to Damascus remained ignorant and Christ remained a mystery to them!
So when we see someone misbehaving just as Saul as he then was, was doing, we know that he has not got the revelation of Christ.
He or she has not known Christ. Christ is still a mystery to such like the man and woman who were reported in a video skit to have fought for space to preach at Ikeja Bus-stop.
So when Paul talks about the mystery of Christ, he lays out the fact that spiritual truth is hidden to the most erudite professors and philosophers.
Spiritual truth comes to us by grace as our eyes are opened to him.
It is that truth that we know that makes us free.
Beloved, may God enlighten our eyes to see Him that we may walk in truth.
Good Day
