IPOB Arrest ‘Notrious’ Bandits Leader, Isa

A supposedly notorious bandits leader, Mohammed Isa who had terrorized parts of the Southeast and Benue State has been apprehended, the Leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has said.

Kanu said the bandits leader was apprehended alongside some members of his gang by operatives of the Eastern Security Network, ESN.

The development was made known in a statement to newsmen on Monday.

 GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the development came a day after another bandit leader, Iskilu Wakili was apprehended in Oyo State by operatives of the Odua Peoples Congress, OPC.

Mazi in announcing the arrest also congratulated the ESN operatives for the arrest of Mohammed Isa as he affirmed that the ESN would not allow criminals to find root in the Southeast region.

Noting how the bandits leader, Isa had terrorized farming communities in the Southeast and neighbouring states, the IPOB leader also cautioned Miyetti Allah and those who believed in their agenda keep away from the Southeast saying that their activities would no longer be allowed in the region.

“I commend men and women of the Northern Command of the EASTERN SECURITY NETWORK (ESN) for the successful capture of Mohammed Isa the notorious leader of bandits and killers in the Lower Benue,” Nnamdi Kanu said.

“This individual and his gang of murderers have been terrorising peaceful farming communities in Benue and nearby states.

“I reiterate my warning to Miyetti Allah and their sympathisers in Aso Rock that our noble quest to rid our land of all manner of criminality, ostensibly terrorists and killers, will continue unabated until our farmlands and forests are safe and secure.”

Kanu did not disclose how Isa was arrested and to whom he was handed over to. The similar arrest of Wakili by operatives of the OPC has raised dust in some security circles following claims or arson and murder on the part of the OPC operatives.
