Missing 26-Year Old Female Accountant Found Dead

The search for 26-year-old chartered accountant Adewura Latifat Bello was called off on Sunday after a body believed to be hers was found in a canal in Iyana Ipaja.

The lady had been missing since the evening of May 15, 2019 when she last spoke to family members on her way back from home.

It was yet unconfirmed how she died but sources said on Monday morning that she may have embarked on a motorcycle to get home. One source said that the cyclist was told not to follow the path it went on account of challenges on the way.

A man who claimed to be her cousin Benjamin announced the discovery of the corpse on twitter saying:

“Thank you all for the search. Adewura is Dead. Her Body found in a canal. The heaven has gained an angel. We depart to meet again till we Meet again Adewura Forever in our Heart God I am in pains but who am I the question you. Rip”

It is, however, understood that the police is yet to make a categorical statement on whether the corpse identified was that of the missing lady given what was claimed as the decomposed nature of the corpse.
