NFF President, Amaju Pinnick Elected Into FIFA Council

Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Monday issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Mr. Amaju Pinnick, president of the Nigerian Football Federation over allegations of the misappropriation of $8.4 million belonging to the NFF.

Four other officials of the Pinnick executive of the NFF were also joined in the bench warrant.

Others joined in the bench warrant were NFF Secretary, Sunusi Mohammed; the 1st Vice-President, Seyi Akinwumi; the 2nd Vice-President, Shehu Dikko and an Executive member, Yusuff Fresh.

The order followed the absence of the five officials when the case involving them came up for hearing on Monday.

The five officials are facing a 17-count charge of misappropriation raised against them by the Federal Government.

Mr. Pinnick is in Egypt attending the AFCON tournament and the other officials may also be in Egypt but the argument was not raised in court.
