Senator Dino Melaye has faulted the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, primary elections that led to the emergence of Engr. Musa Wada as the governorship candidate in forthcoming Kogi state governorship election, describing it as ridiculous and unacceptable.
Engr. Musa Wada, the younger brother of the immediate past governor of Kogi State, on Wednesday, emerged winner of the party’s governorship election.
He polled 748 votes, closely followed by Abubakar Idris with 710 votes, the former governor Captain Idris Wada came third, while Senator Dino Melaye assumed fourth position
Dino Melaye, reacting via his Twitter account described the outcome of the election as ridiculous, noting that: “It is ridiculous to declare a final result of PDP Governorship primary election in Kogi State when my votes sorted out yesterday in 8 out of 10 ballot boxes are missing.
“Only to declare votes in 2 out of 10 ballot boxes as my votes. Totally unacceptable. Senator Dino Melaye,” he stated.
