Senator James Manager has dared Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, a member of the Interim Management Committee, IMC of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC to name the Delta senator he claimed got over 300 jobs from the commission.

Senator Manager in a bold rebuff of insinuations linking him to the accusation dared Ojougboh not to disappoint those who had known him in the past to be a bold person by naming the Delta senator involved.

None of the three senators from Delta State is new giving room to insinuations that any one of them could have been the person so inferred by Ojougboh.

The other two senators from the state are Senators Ovie Omo-Agege who is representing Delta Central and Senator Patrick Nwaoboshi who represents Delta North and is presently as he was in the last term the chairman of the Senate Committee on NDDC.

Before him, Senator Manager had served as chairman of the NDDC.

Dr. Ojougboh had said that a particular senator from Delta State got 300 jobs from the NDDC adding that “of the 300 contracts, 120 have been fully paid and he (senator) has not mobilized to site for these 120.”

In a bold assertion of his integrity, Senator Manager in a statement on Sunday said:

“I have always known Dr Cairo to be a bold, fearless, courageous and tall man. On this matter he appears to be a disastrous disappointment on his failure to name the particular Senator from Delta that is involved.

“Instead his outburst has given job to pull him down heavy weight politicians and their ever ready hangouts to make stupendous insinuations and innuendos. Dr Cairo, It will do you well to do the needful. Just mention the name in public and submit same to law enforcement agencies.”

Responding to Manager, Cairo in a statement Sunday, stated that the committee has already forwarded the matter to the anti corruption agencies stating that the particular Senator will soon be invited and the public will know the person soon.

He noted that the Interim Management Committee (IMC) will continue to carry out inspections and verification of abandoned and ongoing NDDC projects in the region and also ensure an enabling environment for the forensic audit to take place.
