The deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has reunited with his family after arriving late in Lagos on Friday.

Sanusi arrived Lagos after he left Awe, Nasarawa State with Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State who came to fetch him following the court order that nullified his detention. He had been forcefully relocated to Nasarwa State following his dethronement by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on Monday.

Sources disclosed that Sanusi arrived Lagos at about 10.00 p.m. in a private jet operated by Quits Aviation.

Following his arrival, the former emir immediately drove in a convoy to meet with his family who are presently lodged in the island.
